I'd been similarly confused about this question as about the one before, until I realised, hey, Xan's an antagonist!
She's one of two antagonists (as opposed to villains) in whose heads I got deeply enough to have a better idea of their personalities than "nasty person causing trouble", and the other one is not in anything I've shown anybody else...
He may even be more sympathetic/likeable than Xan, but I'm more attached to her. Not that sure why, but I do like that she can get unabashedly violent. It's a change when you mostly write people who worry quite a bit about the moral aspects of those things even when in the setting/story they are justified, rather than just pragmatically weight the consequences.
