30 days of writing, day 16 (romance)

16. Do you write romantic relationships? How do you do with those, and how “far” are you willing to go in your writing? ;)
*looks up "romance" definition.* Novels in this genre place their primary focus on the relationship and romantic love between two people, and must have an "emotionally satisfying and optimistic ending." (quotes Wikipedia)

Hm, what do I have?
A man telling his woman he was just leading her on, and actually thought she was pathetic (definitely optimistic ending, though, since she's FINALLY rid of him)
A woman having enough of being together with a guy who loves his clothes more than her
A couple finding a way for an amiable divorce (now, that's a perfect fit)
A couple having a minor relationship crisis caused by him treating her as a "generic female", rather than paying attention to what she's actually like.
