In the MTG tournament (Prerelease, Sealed), I mostly lost. One problem was that I got decent cards in three of four colours, so it was hard to decide what to play, and after consulting with one of the more experienced players I ended up playing three colours, without the least bit of manafixing.

The one "prize" booster everybody got would have been good for playing; there were four bits of removal, which is about what I had in my deck built from rather more boosters. It also had a Silence.
Ehwell, I got two kinda nice green rares, and the new Elf lord (not sure how nice or not-nice that is) in the draft, so it could have been worse. Oh, and another Siege-Gang Commander.

... well. I won. Not "a match", which I was hoping for, but the entire tournament. :D

Last week people told me I should put Bloodbraid Elves in my deck, and it seems to have worked.

Booster draft yesterday evening... instead of the usual number (around ten), there were 20 people. Getting organised took longer, and there were not enough tables in the card game half of the cellar, so we had to use the tabletop tables... with the surface simulating rock, or stuff like that.

( probably only makes sense if you know the game )

There were four rounds rather than three, and instead of ending around nine it was nearly eleven... I could have left early, since the 20th participant dropped out, but I stayed, enjoyed chatting a bit, and ended up winning one of the cards that was raffled off.
But now I'm tired and have a headache.

So, yesterday's Friday Night Magic tournament went... not horrible.
( this might make no sense if you don't know MTG )

Honestly, the fact that I won a match, and had a few games that were not "you have no chance whatsoever" is nice - particularly considering it was a deck I built myself, rather than a more tested one borrowed from someone else.

I traded in some new-to-me cards and will be tinkering before next Friday.

Today started out nice and productive - in addition to some neccessary cleaning and sorting in my room I cooked a big pot of pasta sauce and got it frozen - but then I sort of slowly collapsed, figuratively speaking, probably due to lack of sleep.

So I should probably go to bed, before I wake up again.
