I had a long day at work and drawing comic today was a bit difficult. To keep 'on track' I scribbled out this random autobio comic from an actual event that happened to me at work.

I work at Target, typically in the Garden Center. Today after lunch I was helping stock stuff in Health and Beauty. This happened to me in the hair color aisle.

So I had a bad case of the I Dun Wanna over the weekend due to lack of sleep. I actually didn't have any idea how to start this new "chapter" (although it's hardly a chapter).

Combine that with no actual script to follow and me skipping the thumbnail stage (bad idea) it turned into a nightmare.

I do not recommend to anyone my process of making comics...

Es wäre super lieb, wenn sich jemand drum kümmern könnte, das auf der Seelenbuch Homepage zu ändern. (Keine Angst, ich will nicht hetzen. Kann ruhig etwas dauern.)

Ich habe seit einer halben Ewigkeit das "Wüsten und 1001 Nacht" von ichbinviele bei mir. Ein schönes Buch. Ich beherge es gern. Aber möchte sich nicht noch jemand eintragen? Es passen noch massig Einträge in das Buch und es wartet so geduldig darauf, noch weiter geschmückt zu werden. Also auch noch ein liebes Buch. Aber ich denke, es hat lange genug gewartet. ^_~ Gebt euch doch einen Ruck!

time: shortly before ww2 place: somewhere in the United States (not quite Real World, but functionally equivalent) search terms: depression era medical school, with and without appropriate quotes

Our Heroine is hired as an army surgeon (possibly technically a contract surgeon, depending on exact year, it hasn't been determined yet) some time in World War 2. (Yes, I know that female surgeons of that era would have been incredibly rare. She's atypical.) What I'm trying to figure out is:

1. How young could she plausibly be, if she started college at 17 and didn't have any delays in her education? (Money is Not an Issue, within reason, her family was very wealthy, and remained reasonably wealthy even during the Depression. Also, she's very smart and studied hard.)

2. How much actual poking around in live humans would she likely have done by that point? I assume (possibly incorrectly) that she would have to be a resident or something equivalent before she could go and be a fully fledged surgeon, even for the Army.

Answers, appropriate research sites, or better search terms all appreciated.

Okay, so I've been doing inked pages instead of pencilled ones. I guess I'm about halfway through with everything at this point, which is cool.
